2014-15: What have we been up to?

The last year has been a huge success for the Alternotives. The group’s continued to sing a whole range of exciting and original arrangements, from Rihanna to Kate Bush and Hozier. We’ve had great fun performing all around Oxford, at events from the Ashmolean’s festive Light Night in November to Wadham’s Music Festival ‘Wadstock’ in May. 5 intense days of ‘boot camp’, perfecting arrangements and choreography, ended with a charity concert at Rockingham Castle, which raised over £2,000 for Homestart. August saw yet another fantastic run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where we performed for over 2000 people over 17 days. We were even caught on camera for the BBC Breakfast Show. We got amazing responses from our audiences, and great reviews of our show:

We want to say a huge thank you and goodbye to all the members who have recently left the group: Lucy McCann and Iona Davey (Presidents), Tommy Siman (Musical Director), Tom Pease (Marketing Director), Michael Davies , Michael Beale , Chesney Ovsiowitz, Katty Cowles, and Xavier Hussain
